Chelsea have announced the signing of English striker Liam Delap, following Ipswich Town's relegation to the Championship.

The 22-year-old has signed a six-year deal with the Stamford Bridge club.
Delap notched up a total of 12 Premier League goals in 37 appearances last season.

Chelsea will pay £20 million up front, a figure which BBC Sport reports activated a release clause in the striker's contract with Ipswich. The fee is expected to rise later to £30 million.
A product of Manchester City's academy, Delap follows in the footsteps of Cole Palmer in swapping the Etihad for West London.
"I understand the stature of this club and can see the trajectory it is on with these players and the head coach," the striker said in a statement.
"It's going to be an incredible place for me to develop, and I hope to achieve amazing things here and help the club win more trophies."
